No desire for any debate on my part either.

I like what you are doing. Thought I would share some of my experiences with you in case any of it might be helpful.

Not trying to tell you what to do, or what you should do.

This is an in process tune using TTS Mastertune.

My cooler setup is a vertical inline Jagg ten row with a ported cooler adapter, -6 AN fittings, braided hose, K&N P/N 173B long style EVO oil filter, and Red Line 20-50 oil. This combination adds about a pint of oil capacity to the oiling system.

I saw similar temperatures both before and after installing my oil cooler. I don't believe the oil cooler does anything substantial to lower the engine temperature. It does, from what I've read, do a great job at limiting the oil temperature from exceeding a certain number (most often I see 220 or in that neighborhood) whereas without, the oil hits 300 or more. This is all 2nd hand info of course.

I've got a simple question for the UltraCool owners ! What was the average oil temp difference, before & after installing the fan assisted oil cooler by UltraCool ?

Toyed w/ tube mounting - straight forward on the down tubes.., 45' out..., or 90' out

Think I've decided going w/ 45'

Tomorrow - install the oil offset and build AN hoses - pics to follow

Side note

Forecasting rain tomorrow - no joy

Next weekend's forecast - sunny..., Sat 80..., Sun 84

Might be interesting to tie some streamers to the forks or frame and see where the air goes to help determine location.

I do like the 45 for appearance.

Are you running the tubes oil flow in parallel or series?

Series

Oil exits the Offset - enters one tub's end - traverses the tube - exits - enter the other tube - traverses it - exits - returns to the oil offset
