3 litres if you changed the filter 2.7 if you didn't, ride until its a operating temp and then re-check the oil level.

Are you talking what leaks out when you change your lifters without a complete oil change at the same time? No clue but I don't know why anyone would put new lifters in and leaving in the old oil.

Just fill the oil tank to the proper level measured on the dip stick. Re-check the oil later after the engine and oil have reached operating temperature. The amount of oil lost by opening the cam chest is not enough to cause any problems. Note: When you start the bike, you may hear noise from the new lifters until they fill with oil. This is normal and should only last a couple minutes. During this time keep the engine at idle until the noise dissipates. Additionally, during installation insure that the oil holes in the side of the lifters is facing the correct direction.

Which way do the holes in the side of the lifter go?

The oil passage hole in the side of the lifter must face "Outboard" away from the bike. I'm curious, Why are you changing your lifters?
