Default How tall without changing cables

Looking to add Longer risers or riser extensions to my bike without having to change cables (if possible). Bike is a 14 Heritage. Anyone know?

For reference...I went from 10" stock mini-apes to 12" less-mini-apes on my bones... No issues.

Perhaps run a string along the cables, measure it and then use the same string to measure the new bars.

Curious if anyone did the 12.5" Wild 1s without changing cables. Anybody?

I'll be watching this thread. I'd like to raise the bars a bit on my '12 Heritage.

I`d bet anything more than 2 inches could cause some binding or tension in your stock cables. I guess you could try and re-route the cables but I just don`t see that much slack available.

The stock Heritage bars are 12". Part number 56569-86. Width 31.25", Rise 12", Pullback 5", Base Width 11.50".

Stock Heritage riser is part number 55984-07, Rise 1.94", Pullback 0.39".

Specs for all handlebars and risers are cited on pages 621 (handlebars) and 638 (risers) of the H-D P&A catalog.

So if you're changing to 12.5" bars from stock, you're only adding a half inch of rise so you don't need new cables.
