Question Question for slim owners with Lepera Barebones

So after seeing many slims with the barebones seat, I ordered myself one. Hard to get around the look of that seat. It showed up today so I put it on to see what I thought. The fitment seems to be way off? The seat bracket itself is about 3/4" above the fender, and the gap along the back of the seat/fender is huge. I can fit my entire hand between the two all the way around, down to the struts. Is this just how they fit, or???? I haven't read anything like that from the folks running them, so I figured I'd ask.

Sounds like they sent you the wrong seat. Check your invoice.

I thought that could be the case at first, but the part #'s right- LKS-007. I did notice the recess on the bottom of the stock seat pan allows more room for the ecm. This seat looks like it's hitting the front posts that surround the ecm, before it gets to its natural resting place. It's hard to tell though. And the sides of the seat are resting on the struts before the rear touches down. Here are a couple of crappy pics; Pouring down rain all day, so nt much light in the garage. The last picture really sucks, but you get the idea

Resting on the strut

Before i bought mine i read a lot of comments about the fitment. They fit funny when they are new. You would think they would figure it out by now. but i ordered one anyways with the same result. It will break in and fit like a glove. I had to force mine on the first time and by the end of the first ride it was was a pretty good fit. Just make sure it doesnt rub on anything visable and try to work it in.

Thanks for the reply, man. The only place I could imagine it would rub anything wrong would be on the strut. I did read a couple things about a couple that seemed a little ill-fitting; I guess, looking at it, it really seems exaggerated.

Yeah, I guess That's the attitude I'll have to adopt; It's a killer seat. It's really the only seat that fits the look I want. Still can't make up my mind between the diamond, and the pleated one. Still waiting on that email from you btw

dont have my bike at the house right now so i cant take a good picture. Zoomed in on one that i took on wednesday. I still have to push down on it a tiny bit to get it to bolt down but its a good fit now. Even crammed my new tuner under there and it didnt change much.

Sweet, thanks! So I'm guessing the gap in the back settles and goes away after a while
