Yep, great bikes, I had the GSA, picture taken waiting for the channel tunnel en-route to Europe a couple of years ago.

Finally got my Slom S home and all add ons are on hold until I can cry the foot controls situated to be comfortable. Also learned about the heat from the oil tank really fries your thigh so I put in an order to Captian Itch and am considering an oil cooler.

I would like to know if any one has any experience with the Accutronix kick back plates or similar on the Slim S and if they will fit?

Or the Harley reduced reach kit?

Or Arlen Ness EZ Reach Foot controls?

I'd like to bring the reach back about 3in

Time to pick your brains, fellow S owners. I will be driving out west to the Corbin factory next week, to have a custom seat built for my Slim S, in army theme. I just came back from a 1000 mile journey through the USA, and my Mustang wide solo, is just too soft, and creating sore spots on the bottom of my thighs, close to my buttocks. I love the backrest, but the seat, not so much.
Back to Corbin I go. I have been to the factory once before, and have a fantastic seat made for my Suzuki Bandit. My next two Corbins I had shipped from stock, and they are all wrong. You need to be there in person to have it done right.
Anybody have any cool ideas for a covering that would go with the bikes army theme?

Many cool ideas for the mere look but a few can balance look and confort...
I'd say a distressed white star on olive green base could match the rest of the bike. That said you may also choose camo or chickewire like stitching similar to the type used during WWII on helmets...

That depends. Were you in the service? If so, your branch and unit, or your unit insignia would be a cool thing.

If not, you might think about some standard recognizable Army symbols that don't claim specific affiliation.

Some examples.

For the stencile with numbers, you could use the birthdate of your child, wife, etc. Maybe the birthdate of your bike or any other important date.

Distressed leather would also fit the style of the bike.

Deals Gap, AKA Tail of the Dragon. Eastern Tennessee July 30th 2016.
1111 miles in three days.

Six of us rode the Dragon several times on Saturday, plus, we rode the Cherohala Skyway early Saturday morning. Awesome road.

Cool picture Paul. I regret not buying aluminum cases. The dealer gave me a deal on the BMW Vario cases, and they work well, but I hate the side loading. If they top loaded, I wouldn't mind them. I'm thinking of selling the GS though......I've been eyeballing the KTM Super Duke R.
173hp
103ft-lbs tq
420 +/- lbs

It just seems really appealing. Now that the Slim is fully long-haul capable; I can part with the GS and get something sleeker and faster.

Although the GS is no slouch with 125hp and 90ft-lbs tq, At 525 lbs soaking wet, it won't run with some of the super naked bikes. The Super Duke R will outrun almost anything up to about 130mph when the low-gearing starts to be a disadvantage. I will never ride that fast on public roads. Except track days, the low gearing, HP, tq and low weight would make a fun bike.

I was thinking something similar. The cream white star like the tank, on a olive green seat, if they have a similar colour, with black sides.

Thanks for the ideas. Me and my family have never served. Glad you had fun on your trip. I did 1000 miles in four days, and that felt like plenty. We did a nice little road in Ohio that is considered the cousin of the Dragon. Route 536. Only 14 miles long, but lots of fun.

KTM make some cracking bikes, I do like their 1190 Adv, however one of their biggest PR mistakes was turning down Ewan McGregor when he approached them to supply bikes for his round the world trip, the amount of business it generated for BMW was enormous.

Definitely agree with you on those sort of speeds being kept for the track.
