I did the same thing. There's a lot more room to in the deal than most people think. If your a serious buyer there are deals to be made on these bikes.

So I got a bit sidetracked... Gunnysgt & others doing a retro-look might like
this one too. (if not obvious, I'm referring to the clutch cover)

have fun,

Slightly delayed. Here are a couple close ups of the T-Bar and Post installation.

The pictures don't show it well, but, the T-Bar and Post fitting won't rest on the frame because the yoke hits the tank first. My choices were to either cut a huge hole in the frame cover for the entire footprint of the fitting, then I could get away with only a 1/4" spacer; or put the fitting on top of the frame cover and have a 5/8" spacer.

I may play around with different frame covers later, but I'm good with this for now. I'll fill that space between the frame and fitting better now that I know how it fits.

Nice goggles - I went with the black version instead of the chromed ones...
(no pics of those however)

Hope not to bore everyone else with these details, but here's some pics of my mount.
I didn't shim it at all, it sits on the stock rubber grommet/bushing that the tank mounts on.
Its not near has high as it appears that you had to shim yours. Here's some pictures that shows some
wiring, how the crossbones bib slips under the mount & how the bib was split around
the mount, as well as a side-view of the slight gap between the tank/bib/mount.
Hope this helps,
T.

Great pics, I really appreciate you posting them. I was wondering how come SLVs mount had to be so high. I will have to check on the FLSTSB bib since that works good and the leather will tie in with what I had planned for the frame cover, cover. I'll get the part number for the bib from the moco since my '14 parts manual probably doesn't list it. I see you relocated your ground wire up on the top of the pogo mount. I noticed there is a bolt available under the mount in the center of the frame, I may try that.
