My wife's Slim was blowing trans oil up the cable housing and across the front of her engine a few weeks ago. How many times would you have suggested I should replace the O-ring before I give up and clean out the transmission vent line and really fix the problem? When the vent is clogged a new O-ring is not going to stop the oil from being pushed up the cable housing. Clearing the vent line will fix that problem and takes just a few minutes, doesn't require and tools, and didn't even get my hands dirty (this last could vary depending on how clean you keep your bike).
Huh? Reading comprehension, dude. OP said it was leaking at the tranny, or did I not read it correctly?
EDIT: My suggestion said nothing about neglecting the vent line, it was directed to the 'o' ring if that was part of the problem.

Dude - the OP spoke of an oil leak involving the transmission and the clutch cable housing. The discussion went to the O-ring being the problem, which it could be. From there it was suggested to check the transmission vent because a clogged vent can cause transmission oil to be pushed out into the cable housing, which it also could be. Now I don't know about you, but if I could fix the problem by simply cleaning out the vent line I'd much rather do that than go to the time and effort of replacing that O-ring to find out that I'd just wasted my time.
Back to you, Dude.
I never have liked that "Dude" crap. Always seemed a bit lazy and rude to address people you don't even know that way. But then to me, manners matter.

I don't know what your prob is, don't care. I'll try and explain it for you one more time, seems you're the only one didn't catch my drift. The OP asked about the 'O' ring leaking. Others suggested clean the vent, everyone agreed. My input was simply when he checked the vent and found that the 'o' ring was also the prob (since it was blowing out at that point) he'd make a call whether to go thru the hassle changing it out then or later. Once an 'o' ring begins to leak it needs changed regardless the vent caused it or not.

I Never even considered the vent being clogged as the cause of this problem. Just learned something new, I love this place.
Your transmission vent should be right under the oil tank, on top of the transmission. Might be a pain in the *** to squeeze your fingers in there without removing the oil tank.
Let us know how it turns out bro.
Thanks I will! I am planning on changing my oil and plugs this weekend so I will take a look

You are entirely correct, the years one has been present on a forum and the number of posts he has made is truly the best measure of experience and subject knowledge. Please forgive my transgression.
Wait a minute, I've read enough of your posts to know that this can't be at all true.
How about we agree to let the OP have his thread back and let him resolve his problem with no further BS?
