to much bike for me too. while test riding the fat boy lo i also tried a switch back and a road king. after riding both the switch back just felt like a smaller version of the road king. but the road king was also to much bike. neither were as well balanced as the fatboy lo.

It may very well be a "young man's bike".... But I'm 63 and traded my Street Glide for a new Breakout and I friggin LOVE IT!!
But I don't take long trips on mine... 300 miles in a day is plenty for my old bones... However... I felt the same when I rode my SG.. Only down side is there isn't much storage...

If you're 63 and I'm 66, then I don't think it's a "young man's bike", any more than a Sportster is a girls bike. Stereotypes are made to be un-typed.

You know damn good and well what was meant. What was stated is that the Breakout is being stereotyped as a younger person's bike even though many older guys ride them in the same manner that a Sportster is stereotyped as girl or woman's bike, even though that stereotype isn't correct either.

Just never heard anyone ever sterotyping a sportie as a girl bike around here anyway.
Most of the women Inknow ride tourers with an occasional fortyeight.
But I feel as you do in regards to how people will sterotype.
They just do no matter what it is. Its all envy related
Most who do are a holes in my book
Live and let live!
