JMHO- better improvement and less cost by going to HH+ rated kevlar front pads vs swapping the caliper. The pads will bite better hot or cold, with less fade, low dust and longer life. only major improvement beyond this would be going to a larger diameter rotor for increased braking leverage, or same diameter wider rotor with a six-piston caliper.
These pads fit the Breakout front - it should be the same pad on ABS bikes but please do your fitment cross checking. EBC HH Sintered Pads FA457HH (google for price / retailers) - (update) Listed fitment is for 2008-2015 Softail / Dyna. I don't know if 2016 is same, probably is, just double check the picture of the pad to your current pad. if the shape is the same they will fit. If you're not familiar with EBC pads here's the 411: http://ebcbrakes.com/product/double-h-superbike-pads/
Personally I like the look of the above caliper better than our stock calipers, if I found one cheap I'd probably swap it out just for that. I'm pretty sure the same exact EBC HH rated pads fit that one as well. {edit- yes they do fit- i checked the EBC catalog}
LA Dog, I really appreciate your willingness to help with questions. So I hope you dont mind if I ask if that calper would work on a 2014 Slim.
The stocker's pure garbage
