So the left indicator light stopped working on the centre console and guess what, you have to buy the whole wiring harness for Ł100 in the UK ...not a chance!
Long story short, having got the test meter and soldering iron out ...it turns out it is faulty by design!!
8000 miles of vibration, it turns out, has worn a hole in one of the tracks on the circuit board which took out the left indicator, and the high beam indicator (which I hadn't noticed)
Small jumper wire soldered in and all working again and I still have that Ł100 to spend on beer

Right between R9 and C4 you can see where I put the wire in, right in the middle of the wire you can see the dot where the leg on the plastic housing wore through the track !!
Mine's a 2015 Fatboy and my dealer already replaced that console twice under warranty at 2500 miles. I put clear silicone on that strip after the 2nd time it failed but who knows when it will happen again.
