I ordered Samson pipes for my 2009 crossbones, sounds easy, right? ... Wrong!
I get the pipes, get ready to install, only to notice that one pipe has an o2 sensor port, the other doesn't. WTF? How in the hell can that happen? I'm waiting to hear from them on how they plan to rectify this situation. I ordered the samson 33 in black.....I'm leaving for bike week in three days.....les see how they respond.
I will never buy a ****ing samson anything ever again. Customer service sucks, you can't talk to anyone, and then they get rude with you. ****ing ********. 1200.00 for bullshit. .
I have been on this forum for a couple of years and never seen a good customer service review on Samson. I am very happy with my freedom performance shark tales.
I bought my Samson Cholos 39's from one of their dealers just because I was apprehensive buying the pipes directly from Samson based on reviews here on HDForums.
I initially looked at Phat Performance which is $835 + shipping but they did not respond right away from my inquiry regarding shipping coz im from Guam. I bought then the cholos from Solomoto coz the customer service was fantastic and they price matched what Phat Performance is asking. I always look for a better deal that is why I don't buy directly coz 10-15% lower price from dealers is still good money to spend on other stuff.
Im not trying to Hijack the thread or to be confrontational or anything but I just want to share a pic of a friend's fatboy lo with freedom performance exhaust just barely 10 months after the pipes install. Well, we're from Guam surrounded by vast body of salty water so your mileage will vary.
they probably sent you pipes for an Evo bike. Evo's will typically only have one 18mm O2 sensor on the front pipe up near the head in case you want to run a sensor for basic tuning. Sorry to hear about the hassle hope you get your $$ back. If you charged it on your CC you can just charge it back if they are giving you any crap- those are clearly not twin cam pipes..
What tuner were you going to run with the samsons?
I have a power commander v installed. I'm going to install the pipes, I had to order some o2 sensor plugs. They are going to send me a replacement pipe, for the rear cylinder. I've got three days to get the bike ready for bike week. I have to change a rear tire as well, and I'm waiting on a Howads horn, which may not make it in time, so, I have a few first world issues. I thought I had ordered in plenty of time to get everything in time, so I wouldn't be last minute down to the wire, but such is life.

Im sure it would be good to get the correct pipes. But with the Power Commander V you dont use O2 sensors. You cap them off with eliminators which disables the closed loop system.
