I have a 2007 Heritage with Big sucker intake, VH big shots, and fuel moto micro tuner (12500 miles). The intake, pipes, and tuner were put on over last winter and I have now been having random idle issues all year, mostly does it after coming to a slow or stop after being at freeway speeds. If I pull the clutch in sometimes it will die on me while coasting, other times it will die or idle extremely low when I come to a stop, and then other times it will idle high.
I spoke with fuel moto and they recommended a new idle air control valve, I finally got around to installing it last night and took the bike for a quick spin and all seemed well. Rode to work this morning and it was idling low and wanting to die again.
Does anyone have any ideas of what to try next? It doesn't seem to matter if the fuel tank is full or empty so I assume that means my internal fuel lines are probably fine, but maybe not.
Key words: intake, pipes, and tuner were put on over last winter and I have now been having random idle issues all year
No probs before, I take it and that was pointed out to FM? Then it has to be in the installation or product. I'd start with the intake install and throttle cable adjustments.
First off, it's not the pipes.
Remove the Fuel Moto tuner, and test.
If problem is still their remove Big Sucker intake, install stock and test.
If the problem is still their it's easier to troubleshoot a stock bike, check throttle position sensor, check manifolds for leaks with spray oil, etc.
In the future, install each item one at a time and thoroughly test ride before installing something else.
Did u change the intake to head gaskets? Sounds like an intake leak to me. U can check with starting fluid. With engine idling spray at connection to each head, if idle increases, u found your leak.
My next check was going to be to check the intake gasket so I'll pull that apart tomorrow night. After that I suppose I'll try pulling the tuner to see if that makes a difference. As for the throttle cables those are all adjusted properly and to spec. Thanks for the input guys.

I didn't pull those apart, just the air cleaner to tb. I'll give your suggestion a shot tomorrow night since it's easy enough.
