my half helmet doesn't catch much air but it's loud as hell at highway speeds. i don't know if it's just the noise or the air being redirected by the helmet or the air around the straps. It's great around town which is where I ride 80% of the time.

I've been riding motorcycles since I was 5 years old (now 40) and just bought my first modular helmet this September. I've always either worn a half or 3/4 helmet and had serious reservations about converting, but here in the Pacific Northwest, even the summer mornings can be chilly. And lets face it, we have more rainy days than not. Bottomline, I love it and wish I'd done it years ago! I still have my half helmet but not sure how much wear it's going to get again.

A 1/2 with a visor will tend to creep up. I little tighter on the chin strap cures that.

1/2 helmet brain bucket around town and short rides. Shoei RF-1200 for long rides (very quiet) wired with a Sena 20s for tunes and communication. Pin lock standard...

I wear a modular Nolan FF. IDGAF what anyone thinks. Your kids will be happy to have you around for graduations and weddings. When I'm on the road I pass a lot of half helmets going 5 under in parade formation.
