Toyed again with the indicators... moved them back to their original place. Still not sure where works best for me.

Sent some pics for placement of the HD Logo... Which one do people prefer?

Tins are painted and back

Photos don't do them justice... VERY dark metallic purple with silver lines and text. Hoping they look fab if we ever get any sun this year!

Other progress has just been plodding along. Lots of the non-stress fasteners have been replaced with stainless. The rear is all back together and an LED head lamp fitted.

The rear struts have been powder coated in satin black to contrast with the gloss mudguard... will that's the plan!

Assembly progressed a little more...

Started to loosely assemble to see how things all fit. A pair of bags from fleebay to see if I like the look and practicality of having bags. All fits fine except there's no space now for indicators.

Bags need a bit of a clean but otherwise seem ok. There is a cutout in the back edges that's clearance for the indicators on (I assume) a bike with low set indicators. I then did a little "Googling" (is that a verb?) to see what others have done and found a bracket bent around behind the number plate bracket. Looks easy enough & I'll have a go at making something like that? Anyone know how think a piece of SS bar I would need? 2mm?

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Got the bike back together, new fuel in the tank & started first press of the button! So chuffed I was dancing about like Dill the Dog!

Not finished yet... next job may be progressive cartridges for forks. Great for now that everything I have done is working fine... new LED lights, rev counter, fuel pump and gauge still working after being re-fitted. Very happy with the paint colour and parts I had powder coated.

If you don't know Dill the Dog from the Herbs... Google him, will make you smile
