Not loud but deep at idle...nice sound when cruising but will bark when twisting the throttle :-) as for baffles i didnt have a choice... i got a great deal from dealer with their rewards program .I installed then in as little as an hour . great pipe and excellent warranty! the chrome quality is outstanding
Here's a radical idea ...putting aside the variations in tone, rasp, and that Harley feeling ...what may help some folks who have neighbours or the boys (n gals) in blue to worry about, how about listing some decibel levels for these things??
The V&H Pro Pipe on my 103 for example seems to kick out around the 100db at idle
Put the quiet baffle in and it drops to around 94
[remember that 3 db is about double the sound pressure/volume]
Gordon61, an idea that would be very beneficial and I would enjoy seeing the data; but pretty much no one in the US has access to instrumentation for collecting this info. As to the Fuel Moto site, go to the "Search by Model" tab and start the process from there; good folks there. I've gotten products from them for years and years!
Very easily done - there are a few Apps for mobile phones ...I use one called Decibel 10: Noise dB Meter, FFT Frequency Analyser it's a free download
ah ok, I thought you were pointing at a particular 2-1 ...is it the Jackpot FM have for that? not sure, I live in the UK so that one is not a possibility for me anyways
