When installing new rotors change or keep brake pads.
I'm installing new wheels and rotors front and rear, on my 2015 Heritage. My brake pads have 7,000 miles on them and are HD OEM pads.
Is it best to install new brake pads or best to use the old ones?
Upgrading is what I would like to do but EBC doesn't make front a semi slintered and Lyndall doesn't make the fronts either for the 2015 FLSTC. Lyndall just released an 8181 front pad but it is not in full distribution.
Rears are available from Lyndall and EBC as they did not change in 2015.
I thought it was a no brainer too until I researched the subject.
How about some part numbers for composite pads for the front brakes of the 2015? This too should be a no brainer but I can't find any, only sintered.
Just to follow up,
I ended up finding the only pair of non sintered pads I could find anywhere. They are a new product for Lyndall and I got the last pair off their shelf, I also and ordered golds for the rear.
The fronts are only made in the extreme version, (I think they call them that because the price is extreme) but unless I went back to sintered I really had no other choice.
