Need some lower wind deflectors. You've changed to air flow and now it's going under the shield, up around the tank and right up your nose. Get the fangs man
Yup, as most have mentioned, it is a vacuum issue and wind deflectors (fangs) will eliminate the buffeting. At first it is difficult to have any kind of love for the looks of them, but you get use to them. Especially after the buffeting is gone. Function over looks. I had mine powdered black to match the Lo.
+1 to the wind deflectors. The turbulence comes from below. I just recently installed them on my 18 Fatboy with great success. I had to drill one hole since they weren't a perfect fit, but not hard.

Fangs helped a lot on my 2004 heritage but does nothing on my 2012.
I have a strange situation with the Fangs. Loved them on my 2004 heritage stock windshield but cut down 2 inces so I wasn't looking through it. Didn't like looking through the windshield at all don't understand how people can.The Fangs worked great on that 2004. Bought the 2012 with the windshield already cut or the person that traded it in had a shorter one put on not sure. Anyway I get beat around quite a bit on this bike even with the Fangs, like to the point it throws of my riding angles in turns and such. I been wondering if the windshield with the little curve at the top would help, can't remember who sells it??? Anyway the curve at the top of the shield is supposed to push down on the front forks helping with more front end stability to. Any ideas?

It's really an individual problem addressed differently by everyone.
My answer on both a 2014 Street Glide (no longer owned) and a 2001 Road King Classic was a Long Ride Shields recurve.
It deflects the air up and over me, drastically cutting down or eliminating buffeting. But even with these you have to get the right height to correspond with both your size and the particular bike you're riding.
I'm not a fan of the fangs, but I reckon' if my goal is to keep the cool air off of me during the colder months, I can give them a shot.
I did notice riding yesterday, I did like that I was still getting air on/in to my helmet and my arms were getting plenty of air. I did think my legs were a bit cold though, so maybe the fangs will help.
Thing is I want them in Black to match the blacked out look of my FLSS. I contacted the person that had the Black OEM looking fangs on his bike. Apparently he had them powder-coated black...
Hoping this truly fixes the issue and isn't another 100+ bucks for nothing...
I second that. I put a batwing on my Dyna it worked pretty well but the Heritage Windshield is excellent and I don't see having to change its configuration at all.
