You do know there are TWO tensioners ????? The tensioner in your pic is the Primary tensioner... The Secondary tensioner is behind the cam plate.... Only way to properly check is to remove the cam plate... There is more work involved , (ie, adjustable pushrods etc),, while your in there, new lifters etc..
By the look of the primary tensioner,, I would have replaced both at your miles...
