Hey - I bought a 09 Softail Deluxe (completely stock). I am 5'8 " and need a little more pullback (1.5 - 2") Does anyone have any ideas that don't require changing the bars or the cables? I don't know how much slack I have in my cables as it is covered up in garage until Spring (lots of snow here still).

Without changing bars, your only choice will be to loosen the bar clamp and see if you can tilt them rearwards, without stressing wires/cables and/or bars hitting the tanks n lock to lock turns.....
Welcome! I have an 07 heritage and put 2.5" pullback risers on it to provide clearance for a bar clamp mounted tach. I didn't have to change any cables. I'm tall with long arms (37" sleeves) and had to rotate the bars forward a little to make it comfortable. The rise makes a very comfortable riding position.
Thanks for the risers suggestion - I guess I will have to check if my cables can receive that kind of lift - I hope so.
I once put risers on a previous bike but it had loads of slack in the cables...

That would be great if you could change risers without needing cables... Great suggestion...
I've been riding my bagger too much lately, forgot all about the risers.....
The original owner of my bike did it with bars and a forward seat. Corbin trimmed the front. Of course, I repaded the seat and put fwd controls on it. The pull back bars worked great then for me then and I am 6'3"

I used part #56266-09 124.15 at surdyke.com didn't need any cable/wire extensions, I had my dealer do the install they put a neoprene bushing kit with chrome top washers to stiffen the mount and its cosmetic since you can see the washers with these risers. It brought the bars up 1.5 and back about 1.75, it helped a lot. PS you will need a new top clamp also. Ride safe.
