RetG have you tried hdtrader.com yet. There are 6 pages of NT's on there and will give you some idea on prices. Kelly blue book and others will also give you prices, although trying to find a bike at thier deflated prices will be a job. Also if you go to the motor companies web site you can do a side by side spec comparison between all Harley models. Hope this helps you.

Thanks back again.

I have only looked at Texas in the HD Trader. Being in Waco/Temple area, makes it a far drive to just about anywhereI will check the KBB and the HD site to see what is what. Also, will keep my options open once I hit the dealer who has the bike.

Thanks again!

The one "huge"thing with the 96 incher is that its already stroked, so for 800+ in parts
http://chicagoharley.com/shop/advanc...p;x=9&y=11
http://www.hmhd.com/webstore/viewite...pname=viewprod

you can bump it to 103 inches, spend another 800+ and get some sweet heads from QHP.
Thats just swapping the jugs, new pistons and 203 cams, also the hd clutch spring, then e-bay the stage 1 ac for a quick 75-100 buck "rebate" The heads are bolt on also.

With this setup you could possibly be about 100hp and torque.... of course you would want to beef up a few othetr areas with these mods....

Oh, also the 6 speed, when your cruising in 5th at 75-80 and want that other gear slap her into 6 and cruise @ 2500 rpm at 95-100

Thanks all,
Definately gives me some information to think about. I think they have 1-2 07 NT, so when I go down Saturday, I will see what the difference is in the Mo. payment of the 07vs the 05. See what speaks to me.

BTW: why is it that there aren't too many used NTs on the market. At least around the Central Texas area, there are very few, and the ones that are, seem to be as much or more than a new one. Most of the dealers I have talked to, either have 1, maybe 2 on the floor or they are gone as soon as they come in. Other than the black parts and handle bars, is there any difference between the NT and a ST Sandard?

Just wondering???????????

Thanks Bros

Biggest difference is the Night Train is cool...the standard has to be made cool.

Ahem..... I don't think so... really depends on what you want. I seriously looked at a train but I just didn't want the all blacked out look. I like the silver motor myself. Other than that... yes, you have to customize it... but that's why it's a standard.

And Hammer.... ur train isn't exactly stock.

I'll give you my .02.

When I bought my '05 Night Train, it was between it and an '06 with fuel injection and a 200 tire.

Since I wanted a) a wider tire and b) carb'd, I chose the '05. (the '06 was a few bucks less)

Okay, having said that. if I knew how much I was going to spend and the effort I went through to put a 240 on it, I would have bought an '06 with a 200 but still but a non fuel injected bike.

The fact that the one you're looking at is used is irrelevant. if you have it checked out and you're happy with it, go for it.

Thanks orangecrush.

I guess that is the bottom line on any HD...get the one that you want and you won't have to do the..."what if's".

Last night I looked through HDTrader, Craigslist, and at the KBB. This bike is still under BB, and I found only one that less than this one. So to me, the asking price is good.

Thanks for all your input guys and I will let everyone know tomorrow after I get back how it went.

You all gave some really good advice, but just like a commander of a Infantry unit, the final decision is mine, and at least I can now make an "informed decision".

Thanks again
