Installed the JES product yesterday, felt like a new bike! I was surprised how they are oriented, the fins go outward instead of convex like a windshield. bottom line, they work! onliest downside is from the front they are a bit ugly, but function over form. I have a freedom shield coming, I got the 17" with black bottom to match the stock. the stock shield is 17" but the lip, according to Freedom, gives 2-3" more protection. I don't need much and expect this to do fine. After two touring Harleys, I think this Heritage cruiser will a keeper. It's a bit of everything, and so flickable and easy to handle...........
I also went with a set of black fangs on my Heritage with the 21" Freedom Shield. Blacked out bottom and smoked upper shield. The difference was night and day. Wind noise around my helmet has dropped by over 80%.
Ive had my JES deflectors on for over a month, they help alot with wind buffeting on the air that comes up from around the tank. However i still get a little bit of air from there but no where near the amount of air that used to come up and hit me and helmet. I mounted the deflectors on the outside portion of the mounts.
