Are you going to install Ohlins front cartridges along with the mono shock?
Ordinarily, I definitely would. But the new forks are pretty good, so I probably won’t until I see how the new shock feels with them first. I did really like the NIX22’s I had in my Dyna, so they would be my go to if I do. Only problem with them is the black caps, which will look a bit out of place on the all silver front end of my bike.

I just found that the current Ohlins HD 501s are only 12.5” vs stock @ 13. So if anything I sure would want to INCREASE the shock length, not decrease it. I’ll be holding off until they make a 13” version at a minimum.

Good catch on the shock length.
Does the 501 have an adjustable length similar to the Black Lines for the touring bikes?

Can you comment on how the new Heritage stock suspension compare to the touring bikes?

I don’t believe it is adjustable. And not sure if you mean me, but if so, I don’t have a Heritage.
