If you don't want to wait for Summit Racing shipping (I'm lucky...I live in Reno...we have a warehouse with retail outlet)...get a piece of vacuums hose about 4 inches long and slip that onto the tip of the plug (just the tip).

Still...removing the tank takes less time than trying my method and then removing the tank. Ask me how I know.

To all you hose'ers,

The plug tool is made of a different compound than rubber, it is also tapered to fit plug better, you don't have to pay shipping, most auto parts stores have something similar. handy for getting rearward plugs on a Corvette or SRT-10 also.
