Thinking about handlebars swap need some answers
Scudda, my apologies. As I mentioned previously, I am not familiar with your particular bike. Even more applicable now that I realize you're putting the bars ON a 2014. I have NO first hand experience with H-D's between 2004 & 2018 model years. That said, most if not all of what I mentioned previously still applies. Research your options. See what's available and get what's going to work.
Since you've got a one piece clutch cable on your '14 just check the transmission side cover to exhaust clearance. You might be able to get an allen wrench in there to get it off. Even if you do have to pull the exhaust, it's not a big deal, just have spare exhaust gaskets on hand. Pulling the tank to get to the electric connectors in the frame isn't a big deal either. One electrical plug, one vent hose, disconnect fuel line quick disconnect fitting and remove 2 bolts.
You asked about wire gauge, I can't say on a '14 but on my 18 they are 20 and 22 gauge wires. Since you have cable throttle and not TBW you're half way there already. TBW just adds aggravation and is a PITA.
As others have said, get the service manual. I'd also recommend the parts and electrical diagnostic manuals. And do some google / youtube searches, there are a ton of videos out there. Good luck!

You might wanna just ignore everything I said before, since I don't seem to be able to keep track of where I am.
the tank for this job. Like I mentioned in your other post cover your front rocker box cover with a thick towel to prevent the crossover fuel line clamps from scratching the rocker box.
Sure, here ya be. Not great pics, some guys here are great photographers and take pic's by lakes, mountain streams, forests. Me? An abandoned grocery store parking lot. This was my first ride after putting them on, I snuck away from work at lunch time Tuesday. They made a *huge* difference. Bike feels easier to control and I didn't get the tingly sensation in my right wrist and thumb like I did with the stock buckhorn bars.
With the 90 degree angles, I removed all the connectors from the wire harnesses and used plenty of cable pulling lube. That stuff is slicker than snot. Bars with a gentler bend you might be able to pull the wires with the connectors on. It took about a couple hours to get the wires in there including cuss and smoke breaks. It's a dang good feeling to see the end of the wire bundles come through that center hole in the bars.
