Default buying new harley financing

ok I talked to many harley dealers and can't really get a definate quote from any I know that the msrp for a heritage softail classic is 17300 to 17900 out of the box and most dealers will tell you the price is around 20000 where can a person go in Ga. to get a direct quote from a dealer, they say are you ready to buy I will be ready when I get the right price, also if you buy a used harley off of less say ebay that is three or four yrs old can you get financing and a warranty from harley davidson

You can finance Ebay purchases directly from the Ebay site. They usually send you through Capitol One Finance. The problem with financing a used Harley is that, because of resale values, you are only looking to save maybe $3000 vs the cost of a new bike. That $3000 saved is quickly over-run by the higher interest rates on a used purchase. It can easily cost more to finance a used Harley than it costs to finance a new one.

Look up Georgia on Stealer-Dealer to get some input from other buyers regarding dealers in your neck of the woods. Good luck.

Freakin dealers, play the game with 'em if there giving you that crap. Tell ok im ready to buy whats the OTD price. If you dont like that price tell'em youll get back with them later. [:@]

You should be able to get Out The Door under 19,000. $20,000 seems a little high to me.

where you at in GA? I live near Tampa Fl. and i found a great deal on my new bike . I called all around the state till i got the best deal . Dont be afraid of these sales BIRDS . They just try and get you for every penny but if they want the sale they will deal . Im tellin ya man call all over and shake em up ! If your willing to drive down here i can call the sales chick that sold me my bike . She was cool gave me the OTD price over the phone and when i got down there to sign ..it was the same price she quated me ! can ya believe that ? I wouldnt go ebay route unless its a local machine where you can go look at it .One more thing if your uncomfortable with the sales person or you get a strange feeling LEAVE ! These things are expensive dont sign something you dont feel right about . O yea almost forgot . In my opionion if the sales person even brings up GAP Insurance .. walk out right there and then . Thats them telling you that they are screwing you ! Thats just how i see it some may not feel that way .

My dealer is prob. one of the main reasons I am riding a Harley today (well, since I'm in for the evening, I should prob. say tomorow...but you get the idea)
Wanted a Harley...didn't think that I could afford one. Went to the Harley dealer in late Feb. No pressure...lots of help and info. Every bike had the type of bike that it was (Sporster, Dyna, etc.) and price on it. Went to the Honda/Suzuki/Yahama dealer. Two gus there. They wouldn't bother getting up or stop reading their magazines. I walked around and asked them about one bile way in the back, "Oh yeah, that's an xyz. Price is xxxx.
I went back to the Harley dealer talked some more. They told me that all of their bikes were MSRP and what all the extra's would cost and what they would throw in. Gave me loads of time and tons of literature.
There's a lot of dealers out there. You can often pay shipping and come out ahead or rent a cheap small trailer from U-Haul made for transporting bikes or plan a trip/ride around getting the bike.
Happy Hunting. Art

I bought my Deluxe for 1000 off msrp at Clayton County HD. It was the last one they had and an 05. The best dealer by far in the area is Mt Cheaha just over the Alabama border on interstate 20. They were selling all 2006 at msrp and no bullshit about gap-warranty or anything else. The only reason I didn't buy there was because they didn't have any 05's left and HArley was offering very low APR on all 05's. I came from the West coast 2 years ago with my HArley and searched all over for a good dealer. In the Atlanta area they are all most bull crap. Selling above msrp and requiring all sorts of add ons. The worst are the creek dealerships. Also check Big Daddys out of Fayetteville. They get 04's out of the crate and sell around 17000. Good people there. Try to arrange financing before hand and tell them you want the out the door price. Good Luck
