Default oil dipstick with temp gauge

Got a question... Just bought the oil dipstick with temp gauge part number 62896-00B.... Bike is a 2017 Heritage. It really doesn't fit right, doesn't appear to seat down all the way. Thoughts ???

Try some grease or some such on the O ring near the underside of the grip. Once it seats with some heat it'll likely fit better. The O ring has to square up some to move down in the filler tube. My two cents.

Mine didn't fit right either, leaked, so went back to the OEM, Figured 1- running synthetic already (supposedly cooler), 2- I have a oil cooler, so really nothing else I can do except cooling fans for stop and go traffic.
Ride safe.

I've had a couple oil dipstick temp gauges and neither sealed like the oem dipstick, so I went back to that. Oil temp never got high enough to worry about.

I had the same issue with my Temp stick. I added orings to the little grooves and it solved that issue

I also had the same problem. I went back to the OEM.

Huh. Mine fits and works perfect. Besides temperature, I like the ability to more frequently and easier check oil, level.
