Default 2009 Softtail Springer CVO

Looking at some of these 2009 models. IMO HD should bring this back if they want to increase their sales as this was really a great looking bike. Does anyone else have any opinion especially on the springer frontend and what about the price these are going for now?

Supposedly won't happen due to issues with ABS on a springer platform. Though I can qualify that my bike is running ABS on a springer with no issues so far. No codes. No lights. But only been out on it a few times.

thanks Matte. Is your bike the model I stated and what do you think about stability of the springer front end at high speed?

Only had it on the road twice so far. So can't speak to high speed. At up to 50 so far, I've had no stability issues though. I'm taking my time working through it though as my whole front end is really custom and I don't want to miss any bolts that might need further evaluation.

I've had my springer at over 100 and the front handles great. But I'm also on a 120 front tire with a 3.5" wheel verses the 2.25 and skinny 21"
If anything, I get some low speed front end flop

Thanks Tehan for your reply. I had hear the springers on this model tend to porpose at high speed. Is that why you changed the width? Do you still have the bike?

Stock 2009 cvo is a 18" wheel with a 130/3.5 tire. Much beefier than some other springer front wheels.

I had an 06 springer softail custom and never had any stability issues at any speed. Any that says the springers don't handle well never rode one. Ive always wanted the 09 cvo springer this bike is one the best looking bikes hd has ever made

Hey Screamin Beagle I could not agree with you more in that it is the best looking bike and year model HD has ever produced. Why they have abandoned it I cannot understand. I have a 2000 FXDWD Dyna Wide Glide that is a good bike. I haven't traded it or sold it cause I dont want to have give it away. But lately I have been looking at this 2009 Softtail Springer CVO. My problem is I just cannot get past what everyone is asking for them. Seems like they are all asking over $20K. I think they were $27k new. I guess I am just cheap. But the bike is 11 years old too. Also I do not see any advantage to the M8 bikes now being offered. They just don't do it for me.

I got my "unicorn" black 09 CVO springer in Feb. I think it rides as good as my street glide, at least to 95mph.
