Any advice on the ratings on a battery tender for my Rocker?
I heard that the charge rate is important not to fry the battery. Please dont suggest a particular brand, I'm on the other side of the world and probably can't get it, but the capacity of the one you use would be really helpful.
Any tender will work just fine for your bike even though your on "that" side of the world. Not a trickle charger and not a battery charger, a tender that will bring the battery to full capacity and then monitor it to keep it there.
I know you don't want a brand, but I am using Optimates chargers for my Li battery in my bike and normal lead battery of my car. Both of them are tender type battery monitor systems. As they are UK based you may be able to get them in NZ too???
Thanks all, bought a 800mA tender.
Did note that on plug in after a ride its providing almost full current, then basically zero by the next morning. Does that sound normal?
With the recent covid-19 lock down theres been reports of lots of stuffed batteries after bikes sitting for a couple of months. Be nice if I wasnt one of them...
