Decode EVO Engine Number?
EIN (Engine Identification Number) of EBLN122528:
EB = FXRS, FXR Sport
L = 1340cc (80") Evolution Engine
N = 1992
122528 = Production numbers- They should match the last five numbers of the VIN on the bike shipped from the factory with that engine.

I'm getting out of the game since my dad died - just not the same cruising without him. No fun! I'm gonna look to sell my 98 Fatboy 95th model in the near future if anyone becomes interested.
Thanks.....

Not sure where you got that number, but it doesn't come back to an EVO engine number.
Can you post a pic of the engine, and that number...?
Quick tell between Twin Cam & EVO engine:
EVO engines, among other small things, will have the external oil pump, mounted on the rear of the cam chest. A Twin Cam will have an internal oil pump that is not visible from the outside.
I can't picture in my head my old EVO engine number, but if it's a Twin Cam engine, the Engine Identification Number (EIN) will be stamped between the two cylinders, on the left side (primary side) case like on the pic below...
The correct engine number will tell the story of your engine...

I'm no expert, but that looks like an EVO engine, especially the regulator rectifier plug. But, I can't remember what my Shovelhead plug looked like..
However, that number doesn't fit any EVO EIN decoders I've seen....
Can you give a few overall pics of the engine, both the primary side and the cam chest side? On the primary side look for a number in the geneal location of where I showed the Twin Cam EIN...
PS- you have a crack in the case bolt hole, where it bolts to the frame...
PSS- They used to sell aftermarket regulator rectifier covers for that 90° plug on the EVOs...

What would be the best way to fix that crack? The story behind the bike is my step dad bought it from the guy that built it that why I called it a Frankenstein. My stepdad passed away and he left it to me it had been setting since 22 it's only got 1700 miles on it
