Default Value on my HD

Hey guys, I'm looking for a value on my 2002 night train on here, reason being is because the current tank that is on it now is off a yamaha so the dash does not mate with the gas tank. It has a 110 with hemi ho heads, 6 speed baker, an open drive bdl, and mikuni carb. I've redone just about everything on this bike, I had a shop redo the turn signals, bars, controls, clutch cable, brake lines, drive belt, 7 inch risers, pegs and all that. I'm not looking to trade it in just looking for a base value for a private owner, thank you. Also, the tachometer doesn't work.

My thought is it's going to take a special person that wants the bike to be able to sell it to them, if that's what you're trying to do. Based on used bike prices, you may get $6k for it, which I would imagine is less than you'd expect.

I went to the HD dealer to look at a Street Glide and the salesman offered me $7500 for my bike even when I said it wasn't for sale.

This is only my opinion. I couldn't KBB to work for me just now.

With all the customization you did to the bike as well as using other manufactures parts. I think it will be hard to sell. By guess is if you get between 4k and $5k you will be lucky

Unfortunately, the unfinished customization doesn't do you any justice. It would take someone who loves a challenge, but there is not value in unfinished work. I think 4K would be the top end, and more than likely this would be to part out if motor and transmission are in good working condition. Just my opinion...

If someone offers you $3,500 hand over title and run. Sorry but the butchering done to it took any value it had out of it. No one in there right mind would touch it. Just few weeks ago friend purchased a every nice 2004 with apes done right SS cables . Other than that bike was left alone for $4,000.
That is a project bike . That will require a lot of work and cash to fix.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, good luck. Just takes one bite on the hook sometimes, and make sure you reel it it.

Here is what finance companies and a dealer would value your bike. That said you have a fair bit of customization and whoever buys it would need to be mechanically oriented to fix anything that would go wrong. When I buy a used motorcycle I like them as close to stock as possible. Good Luck with your sale.

What you as the owner see as value and what the buyer sees as custom one of a kind items value can be significantly different.

Gonna be hard to sell....

Unfinished work, mismatched tank, some unpopular mods....

IMHO.... You're gonna have to find that one guy.... and be lucky to get anything over $3K....

Good luck with the sale...
