Looking at a 1998 Heritage, but I'm concerned about vibration. Owned many harleys but never an Evo Softail. Any words on what to compare it with as ride concerns? Is this a bike you'd do 200 miles on in a day and feel pretty good afterward? I've owned several Dynas and just sold a 16 Sportster 48. Thanks folks.
Owned a '91, bought new, and always thought that EVO was one of their better designs.
Made several runs out to TX , AZ, from here but I was a lot younger back then.
I've never been a fan of a bike pretending to be something it's not. So I never owned a softail. If I wanted a rigid look I would get a rigid frame. I enjoy riding a dress since 98.

I've never been a fan of a bike pretending to be a Cadillac on 2 wheels. If I want all the luxuries of a car, I'd take my car. The Softail is a comfortable ride while still feeling like you're riding a motorcycle. I like sitting IN my seat, not on it.
I've always had Sporties til now and always wanted a Softail. I've never had the slightest desire to own a Cadillac on 2 wheels. B-O-R-I-N-G
200 miles a day on Softail is a walk in the park. I can't speak for the vibration of an evo but I'm rarely over 75mph and mine's a Twin Cam. But I've also replaced the compensator with a solid sprocket and no vibration cruising @ 3000rpm. 70mph in 6th.
