Last I checked CA still had noise regulations based on decibels and not whether an exhaust is EPA or CARB stamped. And while its easy to write a ticket, if you fight it properly I think its hard to enforce, at least that's what I've heard. I think the above comments are correct, generally LEO's are not out looking to enforced noise regulations, except maybe in very limited places. Don't be a jerk and 99%+ of the time you should be OK.

CA is, of course, notorious for making its own one state rules, the rest of the country be damned (and forced to comply for anything sold here). V&H, being a CA company and large "offender", got busted pretty bad some years ago. Fortunately, I got my exhaust, air filter and tuner before they really cracked down on shipments into the state.

 

Of course I would never do this. But, you can get a UPS box in Yuma, Az. And have your California made V&H exhaust, or tuners, etc., sent there.
