Dropped 2010 fxstc on right side.Wont start. On the dash I only have a weak oil light and a weak headlight. They drain down after a few seconds..She doesn't try to start at all. Please help
Sorry to hear. But no worries, it is likely fixable.
First of all, I'd check all connectors in the front, by the tank, check the cables and wires in case something got pulled.
Did the tank get hit & jostled. I'd check the connections on the tank controls and lights as well.
If you cannot find anything obvious, it might be time to break out the test light, diagrams and start checking wires, power, grounds etc. Electricity is not magic.
You need not feel bad. I had not dropped a bike on the tarmac in 30 years, until a couple months ago. Was doing a slow U turn on a two lane, jerked my handlebar to shift the view of the left rearview mirror, me and Ducati fell over in the road.
3 times? Didn't know. (I guess I should RTFM, right?)
Would a tripped BAS cause fading lights like OP described?
Not that I know of, but my first attempt would be to reset the BAS. The fading lights sounds like a bad battery, but I can't see how a slow drop, would kill the battery... mind you, I never say "never". I've seen some weird stuff over the years.
