So I got my Vivid Black Springer Classic and I want to change the exhaust.
My other bike, which I'm trying to sell, is a Deuce with Big Radius and no baffles, so it's loud, and even thought the Springer has Screamin' Eagle slip-ons, it's not loud at all. I would really like to put the V&H Fishtail Slip-Ons, are these pipes baffled?? if so, are the baffles removable?? how about the Samson Silve bullets, any thoughts on these?
I have Vance & Hines True Duals with the fishtail slipons and they look great and sound great, too. I am changing them, however, since I am doing a high-performance build. I am switching to a Vance & Hines Pro Pipe - sacrificing looks for performance. I will be selling the exhaust.
To be honest, as I sit here, I can't say. But they must have, because you can order quiet baffles from Vance & Hines. These are not quiet, by the way. I have True Duals and Ovals on my Electra Glide and this exhaust is louder, but still sounds good, if you know what I mean.
I've got brand new V&H Duals sitting in the box right here and right beside that brand new V&H quiet baffles to swap into them. So... the baffles are removable. I have the HD fishtail slip-ons currently on my bike. I'll know the sound difference when I get these put on next week.
The fishtail end caps are backordered. SUPPOSEDLY, the next release is like yesterday or today. But they are indeed on national back order, per V&H and all the distributors.
The pipes on the otherhand are readily available. V&H Softail True Duals. I bought mine through Eastern Performance Parts $519.95 and the Fuelpak from them as well for $216.95 + free shipping.
I couldn't find the quite baffles on easternperformance.com so I ordered them through Zanotti's as well as the Fishtails.
I plan on just installing everything and when the Fishtail end caps come in I can just pop them on.
How much for the pipes? U have a carburetor right? U suppes the pipes would work with EFI? I only got my 07 Spring Classic couple weeks ago and i have a bit of a learning curve to climb...to say the least.
