I have a HD high output bulb of some sort , leave it on the hi-beam always on the devided highways . What a car can run over with no issues can ruin your day miserably on a bike . Screw the cagers , my safety is more important and quite a few of them run their hi-beams anyway .
Wrong decision there fella!!! You blind the headon driver and you endanger all lives. This is the most foolish responce I have read on here yet! Congrats to that!!!

I have a high output 100watt bulb in my fatty, I put it in because I had too many cagers pull in front of me. Way more than usual than my other bikes. This was during the day. I haven't been cut off yet with the new bulb, only about 200 miles with the new bulb but still better than before. Make sure your headlight is adjusted properly and DO NOT run the high beam all the time, blinding other drivers will not help you. Being more visible on a bike is always a good thing, but do it right, in your case the headlight visor idea would most likely help quite a bit.

I get it with my driviving lights on. It can be a pain in the ****......but I rather be seen.
Yup me too. I have 40W cool blue halogen spot lamps too that are bright! I am actually thinking of getting the FL"touring style" thumb dimmer switch that HD makes. On my Fatboy, the switch is behind my triple tree, down lowand is REAL awkward to reach......

SCREW EM! At least they can see you. HA HA. When I took the MSF class the instructor told me he always rides with his hi beams on at night. I took his advice and usually do the same if I am in a low lit area. I figure if I **** a few drivers off I know that they see me. I have been doing this for about 2 months now, and never has anyone flashed there brights at me.

Your lights should be adjusted to 25" at 25'...at least that's what Harley says. I was getting hi-beamed by 9 out of every 10 cars, even during daylight hours. I adjusted my lights to what the manual said and now I get hi-beamed about 2 out of every 10 cars and they can K.M.A.

Same here but I have to admit...with hubby behind me and his driving lights on I get blinded badly through my mirrors and if I dare look back. We have gone to the front bike riding with running lights and the back bike with a single light.

I don't change my light confige when I get flashed though....
