Just picked up this softail on Friday for $3000. He was an older guy who was just diagnosed with vertigo and the doc said he really shouldnt be riding anymore. It was just over 18,000 miles and its pretty mint. Ill be putting some new handlebars on it, just some 12 mini apes and internally wired along with different grips. I have a quick detach sissy bar coming and Ill probably take the bags and windshield off unless we go on a day trip or something. Other than that, itll pretty much stay how it is.
Well, I think you did REALLY good on that one! Boy, I would have been all over that too.
Yeah, thats only half of it. He sold me his 2005 dyna low rider too. It has about the same miles on it and again pretty mint. This one Ill probably flip. It books nicely on nada. Sold them to me as a pair for $6000.
Nice score...!! Definitely the deal of the century...
I bought my 2003 Heritage new, and still have it... Love that bike...!
One suggestion... I know it's all very subjective, but ride it as is for awhile before changing bars... for whatever reason, I have found the OEM bars on my Heritage to be quite comfortable...
I've changed bars on my '80 FXS Low Rider, '01 Springer, and both my touring bikes.... I believe I DID adjust them back just a little, but never felt the need to consider changing the Heritage bars... they just feel good...
Enjoy....!
PS- those look like shipping crates.... who did you ship with?
