Default Stahlibus oil drain valve

Stahlibus oil drain valve ,has anyone purchased one seems like a good idea to make oil changes easier,no tools needed once installed in place of plug

I tried one on my truck. Way too slow to drain the oil. Took it off and went back to a standard drain plug.

I had a Fumoto oil drain valve on my RAM diesel truck... It held 3 gallons of oil, and it was easier to stop/start the draining to fit it into different containers, than to handle 3 gallons in an open pan.. I felt it was a valuable change from the standard drain plug.

I have a Fumoto oil drain valve on my Class A motorhome. The drain is above suspension parts, so I use a hose from the drain valve to avoid a mess.. I feel it is a valuable change from the standard drain plug.

But IMHO.... I see no advantage to adding a drain valve to any of my Harleys, that include Dyna, Softail, and Touring models...

Keep in mind, a Harley is a MS fitting that a o-ring with it's plug goes down into the bevel in the MS fitting.

The plug goes metal to metal.

Be sure that special drain is correct thread. Don't use a face gasket and call it good enough. It could vibrate loose

I wouldn't. I'm just a drain pan guy I guess.
Good points on what Mr. H stated - being able to add a drain hose to the can be very helpful on some applications.
