Anybody got the axtell 107 inch for 2007 fuel injected? hows it perform? whats the best set up for cams and heads etc.? and dyno charts would help. i want the best bang for the buck any advice would be helpful.
Ideal heads and cams depends on your intentions with the bike...how you ride....what kind of gas you're willing to run....what kind of dependability you expect.
Caution that many of the dyno charts that you see are not entirely accurate. Many are uncorrected or fudged by the dyno operator and then others neglect to tell you that the combo runs 12 to 1 compression and race gas.
You'd have to give more information before anyone can give you an intelligent answer.
RECENTLY HAD CUSTOM PERFORMANCE BUILD
107" AXTELL -HAD HEAD WORK DONE W/ WOODS 630
CAM. VERY BIG IMPROVEMENT FROM 95"
116.7 HP/122.3 TQ DOES TEND TO RUN WARMER THAN
I WAS USED TO (230-235 HWY W/COOLER) THIS IS ARIZONA SUMMER HEAT.
EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD W/PLUG CHECK,AND THE HWY MILEAGE IS STILL RESPECTABLE. 47 +/- DRIVING
75-80MPH.. HOPING THAT ENGINE IS STILL TIGHT DUE TO APPRX,1000 MILES SO FAR. MAYBE W/ SOME MORE MILEAGE COULD HELP. ALSO HAVE NOT YET GONE BACK TO
SYN.OIL DUE TO BREAK IN TIME. MY 95" RAN ABOUT
211-218 W/ RED LINE SYN OIL, IN SUMMER HEAT.(100 PLUS OUTSIDE TEMP)
I left it up to Nick Trask @ Custom Performance in Phoeniz, Az.
He has done a ton of all combos and he dyno's as well.
You tell him what you would like to accomplish and he will
certainly get it there. And the best part is he does it right
the 1st time.
He is really into turbos but he can definately make some good
affordable horsepower w/fuel injection also.
