Mine quitdripping before the500 mile mark.
No problem since.
Of course if I see a bit of a drip coming out I wipe it off.
I hadn't had to do that for a while now.

mine quit spitting after 1k checkup when i told them(stealer) of the prob.
That's funny, mine didn't start leaking till after the 1000 milecheckup.
But then I did put the first 1000 on in the winter, between snow storms.
You think the cold might have had something to do with it not leaking?
My brandnew fatboy steering leaks grease all over front end. That is not the only concern because I feel the bike steers toward the left. I only experience the "steering missalignment" on my brandnew bike. Other Fatboy's don't steer toward the left. I test ride all other Fatboy's on the same road condition and same load. I will have to convince the dealer that there is the problem and not just a common leakage. It is sad to know that an American icon can not resolve simple problem...
The factory doesn't grease the steering head. They just put in the upper and lower bearings that need to be greased after a specific time.
It takes close to a full tube before you can see grease pushing out at the top bearing.
I would guess that the dealership filled the neck up with grease when they set the bike up, if it was dripping grease when it was new.
It is actually a plus that the dealer greases the bearings, but if they use grease that runs when it gets warm it's not good.
If you use high temp synthetic grease in the neck, it wont drip hardly at all.
Whenever I think of it, I use a q-tip to remove the bit of grease that pushes to the outside of the neck. I never had any drip down onto the bike that I've noticed.
