Default Help with Deuce handlebar upgrade

Hello everyone. Tonight I was going to swap my stock pullback risers and bars on my 2000 Deuce with a 1.5" riser and 14" apes. Unfortunately, as I pulled the risers and bars off, I found out Deuce triples are different and have a recessed lip in them. I found the triple/riser adapters on LA Choppers and Carlini. My question is once I buy a set and pop them in, it would just be riser on adapter, on triple? Maybe I'm having a brain fart, but it seems like there's no way to get any kind of bushings mounted. Hoping someone has done this before, and can hit me with some knowledge on the issue at hand. Thanks in advance, cheers!

Pictures would help. I have an '05 Deuce that I installed a set of Ness Low Fly bars on years ago and I don't recall having any issues but there could be a difference between 2000 and 2005 as well as a difference in risers/bars.

I installed 1.5" risers and 14" apes on mine; the risers fit perfectly into recessed area on the tree. Don't remember where I got the risers, probably Dennis Kirk, it was over a decade ago. Point being, might just need to find/try a different brand of risers?

Were they the riser adapters? If so, I still don't see a way to incorporate a bushing with these.

I have a Deuce so those pictures don't help. I was referring to pictures of what you are trying to install.

This riser, and these bars. Had these bars on my fxdwg and I swear they're the most comfortable apes I've ever ridden.

The Deuce top triple tree will not accept any bushings. I have a 2001 Deuce and replaced the triple trees with ones from a FXSTB for the sole purpose of installing poly bushings (and the chrome was bubbling quite a bit). I was getting too much vibration on my 12" apes. Since putting those on vibration has been greatly reduced. The adapter kit mentioned above will act as a shim for the riser bolts, otherwise the risers could move around on the trees. Hope this helps.

My stock Deuce bars were too wide for my liking. I kept my risers, brake lines, clutch cable, and all the stock wires. And gained a 1” rise and a 1 1/2 pullback with The Swept Back Flat Track bars from Flanders P# H59-487 , 650-28085 . And there only 32” wide .
