I'm OK with it
Max knows his chit ...I'm learning here from some of best on this thread
KTF
Repeating ourselves back and forth on harley vs cometic seals, seems silly. Does he go into the dealership threads and say he uses harley?
Either way, this will be good for you, in end, you will learn a lot. First tear down of harley for me was big bore, just cause I wanted to do what most don't. A man needs ego and tremendous sex drive, brains don't mean ****.
Knowing how to read wear marks, is the next level and comes with experience.

So what's the part number for the cometic seal? I've used seals from James, HD, SKF, Drag, Bikers choice and others..
BTW. Also cometic..

I don't get the point in some of these dumb questions. I know you just like to be a *****. Part # is for what ever seal you want. Use what ever you want. I've got a james set in the garage, machine shop supplied it during covid, but I already my cometic. Its important to wait before ordering gaskets to see what you need and what comes with what.
If you want to discuss the topic feel free, not sure what else there is to say other than quoting past posts on which seals to use.
I should stop reading his posts. They make my head hurt.. All I get out of this is that he hates HD seals because they send out a notice saying use existing inventory.. I guess cometic never updates their seals. I wouldn't be surprised if they do, they don't until the inventory is all used up. In that case what does the shop do with outdated seal? Toss it out? Bet they don't get a bulletin.

yeah i know, but some Yooper can't help himself

hell, Rounders, if I had the money, this bike would be at the indi now.

and my ego wouldn't be bruised a bit, I can assure you
