Default 20 years of Fat Boys

OK well its only 3 bikes.

Anyone else here a repeat offender on the same bike model? Not just Fat Boys, but repeat owner of any particular model.

My first Fat Boy was a 2005. Vivid black, Twin-cam 88b. I joined this forum right when I bought it.

2nd one was a 2009 Flame blue Pearl. Twin-cam 96 which I upgraded to a 103" big bore. Rode this bike for 16 years

Last of course is my new 2025 with a 117" M8 in whiskey fire/vivid black

By far my favorite. This bike straight kicks ***. I loved my 2009 (and 2005) but I have no regrets for trading it in. People that diss the M8 and say its not a "real" Harley or they have no soul, or other dumb ****
like that are just wrong. Sorry guys. Deal with it

Not a repeat Fatboy owner but still riding the same one I bought new in 2002.
But I have owned four “second” Harleys over the years. Soon to be a 5th that will be the new primary rider. Can’t bring myself sell the old dog though.

When Twin Cam came out, it was not a real Harley. When Evo came out, it was not a real Harley. Probably the same with Shovel, Pan, Knuckle and so on. Let's face it, a real Harley have one cylinder, no trany, leather belt final drive, pedals and so on🤣🤣🤣

By the way, great looking Fat Boys. Last generatiom Fat Boy is just awsome in my opinion💪

If I still owned all 3 of them I'd only be riding the 2025, that should say something right there. Its more comfortable and WAY more powerful and responsive than the previous ones, like by a HUGE margin.

The 2009 had about 105 ft lb torque, and the 2025 is around 140 ft lb. so its not just a little more. its a lot more, and while the fatter tires make it handle a bit different, I dont find its a problem.
IT doesnt handle worse, just different.

Thank you sir! I have one more mod for the 2025 (for now) . I'm going to swap the tank badge for badges from the 2021 model. I dont dislike the stock badge. Its cool IMO, but its just not a Fat Boy emblem.

When I bought the first one in 2005 I joined this forum, and the Evo guys were in here trash-talking the twin-cams.

Now the twin-cam guys that came in at that time are trash-talking the M8's

Its dumb

I like em all

But you are right. All Harleys after this model were soulless POS

Been riding a Twin Cam since new in 2002. Gear drive cams made it bulletproof. But I'm still looking forward to my incoming M8 2024 FLHTP. Doesn't make me feel the need to trash Rushmores or any other previous generation for that matter. I never got why some feel the need to run that **** on other guys. Be happy with what you're riding and let the next guy do the same.

Repeat offender here! Had a 2010 Road Glide for a couple of years and then went back to a 2024 in early '25. Also, a repeat Fatboy buyer. I bought a '24 in late '23 and then they had to release the Anniversary Gray Ghost that I absolutely fell in love with.

I agree with you, the newer Softails are lightyears better than the old frame TC's.

Congrats on the new FB!

Bought a 2000 wide glide new. Always regretted selling it. Recently picked up a 2003.
