Guys
Looking to buy a bike very soon. I have always liked the Deuce, but recently have also been turned on to the nightrain. So I found a nice 01 nightrain for 12.5, 5k miles, lowered, stage 1 and some other little goodies. Very nice and clean. Another plus is that is a friends bike that he has owned since new. We had pretty much made a deal on this, but no money has been exchanged.
So then a few nights ago I find an 02 Deuce for 12.5, 7k miles, lowered, stage 1 and some other goodies too. This bike too looks immaculate. The bike is only a couple of hours away and is a 1 owner bike too. This one has a bunch of factory options, like the security system too.
I am confused as to what to pick here. I know both are just about opposite ends of the spectrum as far aslook, and I also know that in the end its my decision and preference, but I am hoping for some thoughts.
Here is a pic. of each.
I ride solo, the Trains two up seat is seperable, and that would be the first thing I did was to remove that second seat and make it a solo.
Havent put any thought into a warranty, I would expect both would be expired due to the age.
I do like to keep my toys very clean too, so polishing isnt an issue.
Thanks for the input, keep it coming.
You are comparing two bikes with the same foundation (i.e. frame, engine, trans, etc), just withdifferent looks. Everyone here, myself included, will have a personal opinion, butbeauty is in the eye of the beholder. Youneed to go with the bike that that you sit on and look at and don't want to walk away from.Don'tsweat the little stuff like cleaning, availability of accessories, etc, as those are small hurdles. Pick one and enjoy!
