I prefer the FL softail over the FX Softail. I have had a Softail Standard and a Heritage Classic, and the Heritage is much more comfortable than the Standard. I also prefer the wide front tire over the narrow one on the FX.
Have a Night Train and love it. Changed the seat out for a stock Fat Boy seat (solo) and no problems with long rides. Besides.......everyone and their mother has a fat boy. Only a few Night Trains out there.

At 6'2" and 255 lbs you gonna look pretty funny on that Night Train. It'll be like one of those pic's of a 355 lb dude riding on an 883. Not that theirs anything wrong with that!
Personally I wish I had gone with a beefier Softail.
Fatboy, Deluxe or the Heritage can easily be stripped down or blacked out. These three bikes come with the black motor and wrinkle black parts aredirt cheep compared to chrome on Ebay.
These heavier bikes can also be loaded up for the long haul and not look "out of place" with all the gear on em.
And like it was posted earlier, floorboards are awesome on longer rides.
The Night Train is a cool bike though. It just depends on what you want outta a life.
