Hey guys, I have an 06 Softail and I am getting ready to put on some Cycle Shack 2 into 1 shorties and wondering what is the best programmer for a joyrider. I am not going to be out racing, but I do like a little extra HP. Open to all suggestions. I am looking for the most bang for my buck but I dont need to go overboard either. Thanks

RE: Screaming Eagle racing tuner vs Power Programmer
I've used both a SERT and a PC III (on another bike). I really prefer reflashing equipment to tune rather than piggyback computers. Though, with a good tuner, a piggyback computer can work just fine, a reflash uses the ECU and all of its "fail safe" so with a good tune, it operates like stock (with hopefully a lot more power).A piggyback programmer sends signals to the ECU to override stock settings. Like I said, both can work great, but the reflash is better technology IMO. The SERT has some other perks too like being able to tune each individual cylinder.
