2002 softail standard, I have done a ton of work on it, yesterday i took off the rear turn signals off and i also replaced the break light with a Hi-tech LED. I did all of this to clean up the rear of the bike. Today i went to crank the bike and the emg. flashers flashed 6 times upon cranking the bike, I think this is a code telling me that the rear siganles are not working.. It does this every time i crank the bike. Are they any way of fixing? Or will this hurt anything if i do nothing?? Thanks for any help Tracy King
come on fellows, i know someone has taken off the rear turn siginals of a 02 softail. I know the code is telling me that the siginals dont work. But my question is will flashing the eror code hurt anything? or are they someway of fixing this from flashing. I do not plan on putting the siginals back on. But if it wont hurt anything i really dont mind the emg. flashers flashing every time i crank up........ I dont know if storeing an eror code will hurt anything every time i crank it up,,,,, Thanks alot any info will be greatful T King
My 01 did the same 6 quick flashes and I tried all the info suggested with no success. I didn't count all my startups, but recently the flashing at startup, stopped on it's own. Been riding mine like that close to a year, and it never left me stranded.
