esd - I think the things you listed will look REAL good on your bike... especially with that black springer. However, I'd suggest balancing it out with a few items in the back. No need to go overboard, but a balance is necessary to keep it from looking ackward.

To compare our prices with what you have up there in the great white north wouldn't make sense. I'd suggest shopping around in your area. Talk to some of your local indy shops. Depending on your location, local could be pretty wide-spread.

bgismo20 - Thanks for the referal!

Powdercaoter is right.

You need to balance it out some. But I may have went a bit overboard.

I also agree, don't be afraid to experiment.

As far as pricing I have my whole front end done, with my bars for under $250

CNC, You didn't go overboard, your bike is a show winner IMO.

I look at it this way, getyour ownidea, and run with it. That is what makes everybodies ride beautiful.
When I bought my bike in 06', I was as far out of the loop as I could get. I sold my last bike in 1986 to buy furniture for my new wife, and had no idea what was hot and what wasn't, and I couldn't have cared less..
When I bought my 06', I knew exactly what I wanted to do, right or wrong, and I followed through with every detail.

Just do it, it will be beautiful.

I vote for teh black, myself. ...Not that I'm biased, or anything, though!

Mine actually has more black now... My sig picture is old. Really, the only chrome left is pushrod tubes, oil lines, shift linkage and front turn sigs (cuz I haven't put the coated ones on yet). My spokes are stainless, and there's a little chrome hardware (nuts/bolts). I still need to take the fork apart to coat- the anodizing is faded into purple/brown.[:@]

Too bad for me I didn't go the powdercoat route instead of chrome. I deal with a shop that does stuff for me real inexpensive, probably because I take 1000 + pieces a year to the shop for coating. (not bike parts) But you guys go ahead & make your bikes black. Make mine look even shinier. Too bad black chrome isn't more durable, could have been the best of both worlds.

I agree with Powdercoater. You need to have some balance. He did my front end for me, including a set of bars that I no longer have on the bike. It looked great with an all black front, but the balance wasn't right because I still had chrome struts and a chrome sissy bar. It just didn't work visually for me. I changed out the bars and left them chrome, but kept black mirrors, levers, grips, and housings. I now think my bike has the balance it needed. Powdercoater does an excelent job, his prices are very reasonable, and the turn around time is really quick. If you can't find a good deal where you are up there, I would definitely recommend sending your stuff to Powdercoater.
