SEII's on my scoot and love them. Not too loud idle and cruising, but blip the throttle and they open right up.

SE II's on my '06 here also, and love them...

Sounds like a lot of work to make them work on your '07, though. In your case, I'd probably go for something designed for your bike.

It sounds like there is one confusing point about the SE slip-on's and that is Harley has had to continue to quiet them down over the years to meet EPA standards. I don't think SE slip-on's are junk. The original SEI were the loudest, the SEII's produced up to '06 were a "little" quieter but still have a nice growl to them. The new SE's as of '07 are definitely even more quiet as their predecessors and are not much louder then stock Harley mufflers. Personally, if I had an '07 or '08 bike, I would not use the new SE slip-on's, but the SEI or SEII sounds fine and as others have said, if you're looking for a low cost solution to a free flow and louder exhaust, Rush slip-on's are good choice. For me, if I could to do it over again, I'd bite the bullet and buy a new entire exhaust system, V&H, Samson, Porker, Rinehart, Cobra.

I have to say that everyone that I know that got SE slip-ons ended up getting rid of them and put on somthing else. Just go with the rush slop-ons.

I have SEII's on my '04 FB. Personally I like them, both the sound and the look.To each his own.I would go with what your dealer says. They changed fm the TC88 to the 96's in '06, so I wouldn't be surprised if the SE's you're looking at wouldn't fit.
+1

I got em and I like em.

To each his own.
