Trying to decide between saddlebags or sissy bar with bag. I don't want to relocate the turn signals. How much of a pain is it to remove and install rigid mounts for sissy bar, it would be on most of the time, just four bolts, right? Am I missing something, dealer didn't even offer the option of rigid mount, just quick detach, relocation kit etc. If I go with saddle bags, is there a quick detach option without moving blinks. I usually see several sets of the harley fatboy saddlebags on ebay, any opinions on those would be great, I don't need alot of room, but need to carry rain gear and misc. Almost forgot, this is an 04 Fatboy. Thanks for any advice.
I have a 05 Fattie and have the bags with theHD USA concho on them, 90320-00D. They are a great looking bag and mount without having to change the stock tail lights. You can get them attached with thehardware to add a detachable sissy bar at a later datewhich I think is the way to go. Then put visor rings on the tail lights and get a curved layback license holder sold by J&P and you got a sharp looking rearend.
im running the tall sissy bar with the ironhorse roll bag, comes in real handy. i also have a set of ironhorse saddle bags, got them off ebay for $80.00, and have them set up with the ghost brackets encase i need them. i dont really like the looks of the saddle bags but i have complements on the roll bag.
I went with the fixed bag option. They are very handy and hold all my stuff. Since I put them on I always carry stuff. Only 4 bolts to remove and no relocation kit. The few times I went with no bags, wished I had them on.
Ironbags are top of the line. Most people have the bags mounted forward to clearthe stock rear signals. If I had opted to go that way, the bags would have hit the chrome trim around my SE seat. I decided to keep the seat trim and put on different signals. http://www.ironbags.com/

Thanks for the replies, still wondering about rigid mount bags and sissy bar. Either of these will just bolt on withtwo bolts per side, correct? So if I'm going on a short ride and want to take the stuff off it's going to take me 10 minutes with a wrench instead of a coulple minutes with quick detach? I see the advantage if your doing this on a daily basis.
