Thats a bummer man, they look awesome with a lift.
What bike you riding?
Theres no way you can't just lift it until the W/Shield bracket clears?
(I haven't got a W/S)
Got some flat bar, hex screws, T-nut, lock washer, washers from Lowes.
I had some 1/2 inch aluminium spacers laying around.
Front I raised 1.5" and the rear 1/2".
1.5" inch was enough so I didn't have to extend or replace the fuel crossover line.
Turned out pretty good.
Cheap alternative.
I always have a problem on long trips (at brisk highway speeds within the limits of course) with my right foot getting tired and blowing back. The left side is okay as I use the back shifter peg to keep my boot in place. So it was -10 today, was bored and made this out of 1/4"aluminum strip.

That looks really clean. Gotta tell us how it works for you. Hopefully it's rounded enough not to catch your pant leg when you go to plant a leg to stop. (Had that happen on back shifter, you get the falling backwards in your chair feeling). Nice job!
Hi
I am concerned about the pant leg getting caught also. I'll find out once the 2 feet of snow disappear. I might have to shorten it, reshape it, scrap it and make something else LOL. Easily modified with my bandsaw, file, emery and scotchbrite.
Thanks for your responce
